Sarah Cehelyk, Doctoral Candidate in School Psychology at St. John's University class of 2027 returns this summer to lead The Quad Manhattan as program director. Since 2021, Cehelyk has been a part of the summer program, learning as a psychosocial intern and chief intern, then working as a psychosocial support associate, and in 2024 as Assistant Director.

"My experience at The Quad has been fun, immersive, engaging, and collaborative," Cehelyk said.

Managing Director Ashley Riviere says Cehelyk's long standing reputation at Quad for her innate abilities to connect with twice exceptional learners has led to an easy decision to advance her career opportunities.

"Sarah is and has always been a model of kindness, thoughtfulness, and leadership to our staff, interns, and students," Riviere said.

Since returning to the team in the Winter of 2026, Cehelyk has been hard at work meeting new families as well as actively recruiting candidates for the psychosocial internship program; a piece of The Quad's summer that is near and dear to her.

"I love working with the team to find new talent and meeting other rising psychology students just as I once was when I started [my Quad] journey," Cehelyk said.

Cehelyk says her experience in multiple roles at Quad have prepared her for the exciting role as director and she can't wait to return and join staffers she already knows and enjoys working with.
